The Happy Pet Project

Powered By Texas Good Deeds Project

The Happy Pet Project is the inaugural project of the Texas Good Deeds Project. The values and culture of Texas Good Deeds Project guide the operations of The Happy Pet Project.

  • The mission of The Happy Pet Project is to partner with local municipal shelters to end the overpopulation of companion animals in Texas through rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption, while educating people about responsible pet ownership, animal advocacy, & topics related to animal welfare.

  • The vision of The Happy Pet Project is a world without homeless animals where animal welfare organizations can work with one another and with community pet owners to increase the health, happiness, and fulfillment of pets, their owners, and animal welfare workers and volunteers.

  • The Happy Pet Project commenced operations on January 23, 2022. We are a foster-based, all-breed animal rescue. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, every dollar goes directly toward saving lives.

Our work is guided by ethical standards that shape everything we do. To learn more about where we stand on rescue practices, community responsibility, and animal welfare, please review our position statements here: Happy Pet Position Statements
